Here are some pics of the kids looking
at the Pleiades and Orion Nebula. The images at top of the page resemble what we saw through our
Meade ETX-60 refractor. This telescope gets good reviews
but there is some annoying chromatic aberration. The kids might like rainbow-colored stars though.
Sophie demonstrates the proper way to look through a
telescope, keeping both eyes open. Lucy stresses the importance of "hands off" to maintain alignment.
Chloe and I have to bend to see, the telescope needs to be set up for everyone to be able to
view through. Blake likes aligning the scope better than looking through it.
